Ljubljana, 17 June
The head of the European Commission representation office in Slovenia, Erwan Fouere, whose term in office is expiring, paid a farewell visit to President Janez Drnovsek on Friday.
Drnovsek thanked Fouere for his special efforts during Slovenia's accession to the EU, great professionalism and personal fondness of the country.
Meanwhile, Fouere congratulated Slovenia on its successful development, and stressed that the country has reinforced its status in the EU.
The pair also exchanged views on the current situation in the EU and expressed the hope that the bloc will soon find a way out of the situation.
