The government has adopted a draft resolution on the national programme for equal opportunities for the period 2005-2013, which will now be sent to parliament.
The key goal of the resolution is to define priorities in upgrading the situation of women and ensuring gender equality. The programme sets up guidelines in the areas of employment and labour, education, science and research, health, social affairs, family life, and defines policies in preventing domestic violence and ensuring gender equality in politics, judiciary and public administration.
