Editorial
Slovenia's history was back in the spotlight last week as police brought genocide charges against Mitja Ribicic, a former high ranking Slovenian communist official, who is suspected of taking part in summary killings of alleged Nazi collaborators at the end of WWII. The police official leading the investigation denied that the charges had anything to do with a change in government, adding that the task force he leads had been working hard throughout to investigate cases of summary killings. "Europe must take the message of the French referendum on the constitution seriously, yet this is no reason for a general uncertainty on the European political or business scene." This is how Slovenian PM Janez Jansa reacted to the French 'no' to the European constitution on Sunday evening.
