WEDNESDAY, 1 June
KARLSTAD, Sweden - The 3rd NATO conference on the drafting of non-statutory instructions and minimal standards in civil protection against radiological, chemical and biological weapons. A delegation of the Slovenian Civil Protection and Disaster Relief Administration is to attend the three-day conference.
BRNIK - A consultation on the development of aviation tourism in Slovenia is to be organised by the Aerodrom Ljubljana airport operator and followed by the official opening of a new parking facility.
THURSDAY, 2 June
LJUBLJANA - Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to present the 2004 Annual Report to Parliament Speaker France Cukjati. Hanzek is also scheduled to outline the contents of the report at a press conference.
LUXEMBOURG - A two-day session of the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council is to begin. Slovenia is to be represented by Interior Minister Dragutin Mate and Justice Minister Lovro Sturm.
LUXEMBOURG - A two day session of the EU Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumers Council is to begin, with Labour Minister Janez Drobnic representing Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - Weekly government session.
PORTOROZ - The Slovenian Insurance Association is to organise the 12th conference of Slovenian insurers with the main topic "Europe without Boundaries".
LJUBLJANA - Italian ambassador to Slovenia Daniele Verga is to confer decorations of the Italian president, "Ordine della Stella della Solidarieta Italiana", on University of Primorsko chancellor Lucija Cok and Ciril Zlobec, member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
LJUBLJANA - A press conference ahead of the 46th Ljubljana Jazz Festival, which is to take place from 30 June to 2 July.
FRIDAY, 3 June
ZAGREB - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to address an international conference entitled "Southeastern Europe on its Way to the EU", organised by the Bertelsmann Foundation in cooperation with the Croatian government.
LJUBLJANA - The first parliamentary inquiry commission in this parliamentary term, looking into the work of public prosecutors, is to hold its maiden session.
TUZLA/PRISTINA - Defence Minister Karel Erjavec is to visit the members of the Slovenian Armed Forces taking part in the peacekeeping missions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo.
SUNDAY, 5 June
KOCEVSKI ROG - The 16th commemorative service is to be held at the burial ground Pod Kren in Kocevski Rog, to honour the members of the home-guard militia killed in the aftermath of WWII and mark the 60th anniversary of the Kocevski Rog killings. A blessing of a mosaic and bronze cross designed by Marko Rupnik are also to take place.
