Slovenia Supports Commission's Cohesion Policy Guidelines
Luxembourg, 20 May
Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar said Friday that Slovenia was in favour of the guidelines proposed by the European Commission for the EU cohesion policy in the next financial period.
As Zagar pointed out after informal ministerial meeting in Luxembourg, the Commission's proposal is in line with Slovenia's strategy and has been backed by all EU members in general.
The guidelines include three priorities: increasing the appeal of regions, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and creating new jobs, Zagar said, adding that they all coincide with Slovenia's strategic goals.
