Govt Donates EUR 20,000 to Kyrgyzstan
Ljubljana, 19 May
The government took a decision Thursday to donate funds of SIT 4.8m (EUR 20,000) for boosting the stability and development in Kyrgyzstan.
The donation comes as a proof of Slovenia's commitment in this Central Asian region as the country is presiding over the OSCE this year.
The Kyrgyz government adopted an action plan for cooperation with the OSCE earlier this month, pledging to promote security, political dialogue, economic development and democratic elections.
On 7 May, the OSCE Secretariat organised the first meeting of donators for Kyrgyzstan, with the funds of EUR 160,000 to go for organising the 10 July election and EUR 1.7m for assisting the police units.
