TUESDAY, 10 May
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU ministers responsible for competition are to meet. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to represent Slovenia.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is scheduled to attend an informal meeting of EU agriculture ministers. LIPICA - The Slovenian Armed Forces is to unveil its first cavalry unit. LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Committee for the UN is to stage a debate on the UN reforms put forward by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is due to take part in the event.
LJUBLJANA - The Assembly for the Republic, a group of right-leaning intellectuals, is to stage a public debate on the democratisation and quality of the Slovenian media.
LJUBLJANA - A round table is to debate Slovenian influences in Austria 50 years after the signing of the Austrian State Treaty.
LJUBLJANA - The National Council and the Association of Slovenian Municipalities is to hold a debate on draft legislation on local government. LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Society for International Relations is to host a lecture by former Macedonian President Kiro Gligorov on Macedonia's regional role.
LJUBLJANA - The Bosnian Cultural Alliance in Slovenia and the Centre for Strategic Studies of the International Bosnia Forum is to host a round table debate on the future of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
LJUBLJANA - Publisher Slovenska matica is to host a two-day symposium on the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII.
PORTOROZ - The curtain is to be raised on Internautica, Slovenia's biggest boat fair. The event is to run through Sunday.

WEDNESDAY, 11 May
SLIVNICA/MARIBOR - The government is to visit the NE region of Podravje as part of its series of visits to all 12 Slovenian regions.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Major General Ladislav Lipic, the Armed Forces chief of staff, is to take part in a two-day annual meeting of NATO chiefs of staff. POSTOJNA - The Multinational Land Force, comprising of units from Slovenia, Italy and Hungary, is to launch a week-long military exercise, the Clever Ferret 2005.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Steel Group is to present operating results and plans.
MONDORF-LES-BAINS, Luxembourg - The head of the Civil Protection and Rescue Administration Bojan Zmavc is to begin a three-day visit to Luxembourg to attend a meeting of EU heads of civil protection services.

THURSDAY, 12 May
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session.
LJUBLJANA - A memorandum on the history of Italian-Slovenian relations is to be presented at a press conference.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Academy of Arts and Sciences is to host an international meeting on the importance of transport for the economy and sustainable development.
LJUBLJANA - The future of the Slovenian public broadcaster is to be discussed at a round table debate.
KRANJ - Sava Tires, a subsidiary of US tyre company Goodyear, is to present business results for 2004.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana City Theatre is to present its 2005/06 season schedule at a press conference.

FRIDAY, 13 May
BUDAPEST, Hungary - Foreign ministers of the four nations partnership between Croatia, Italy, Hungary and Slovenia are to meet. Slovenia is to be represented by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel.
LJUBLJANA - Deputy Czech Foreign Minister Vladimir Mueller is to begin a two-day working visit to Slovenia.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to attend a two-day informal meeting of EU finance ministers.
PIRAN - The Peace Institute is to put on a two-day international seminar "Nations - States and Xenophobias: In the Ruins of ex-Yugoslavia".

SATURDAY, 14 May
NOVA GORICA - The ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are to hold their congress.
POLJANE PRI PREVALJAH - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to take part in a ceremony on the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII.

SUNDAY, 15 May
POSTOJNA - Slovenian Armed Forces Day is to be celebrated with a ceremony at Postojna airfield.
