Bjoern Einar Romoeren of Norway set a new world record of 239 metres en route to victory in Sunday's World Cup ski-jumping finale on the giant hill at Planica.
Romoeren, who was in fourth place after the first round, took advantage of the good wind conditions to set his second world record of the day, to the delight of the 20,000-strong crowd.
He finished with a score of 463 points, a huge 9.1 points ahead of second-placed compatriot Roar Ljoekelsoey (230.5/224m).
Third place went to Andreas Widhoelzl of Austria, who jumped 231 and 227.5 metres for a final score of 453.2 points.
Saturday's winner Matti Hautamaeki of Finland finished fourth, missing a chance to extend his World Cup winning streak to a record-breaking seven meets.
World champion Rok Benkovic was the best of the Slovenian trio, taking fifth place with jumps of 220 and 226 metres.
Incredibly, Romoeren's massive effort was not the longest, as World Cup winner Janne Ahonen of Finland flew 240 metres only to crash on landing in the second round.
The Finn, who finished sixth, was taken off on a stretcher after his fall with what appeared to be a back injury, but he later took part in the medal ceremony.
