TUESDAY, 15 March
LJUBLJANA - Uzbek President Islam Karimov is scheduled to kick off a three-day official visit to Slovenia.
GENEVA, Switzerland - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in the session of the UN Human Rights Committee.
LJUBLJANA - The National Statistics Office is to present preliminary GDP data for the fourth quarter of 2004 and the whole of last year.
LJUBLJANA - The IZIV institute is to stage a conference on the role of information technology in business. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is expected to attend.
LJUBLJANA - The National Council and the Slovenian Tourist Board are to stage a debate on the implementation of Slovenia's tourism strategy.
LJUBLJANA - A two-day seminar on intellectual property is to be staged by the EU's Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Unit in association with the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
LJUBLJANA - The youth group Zveza prijateljev Mladine is to stage a round table on bullying.

WEDNESDAY, 16 March
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and State Secretary for European Affairs Marcel Koprol are to take part in a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - A two-day meeting of the European Parliament and the national parliaments of the EU is to get underway, debating the reform of the Lisbon Strategy.
LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to debate Slovenia's plan of activities in the EU for this year.
LJUBLJANA - Croatian Ambassador to Slovenia Mario Nobilo is to deliver a lecture on benefits of Croatia's EU membership for the EU.
LJUBLJANA - The curtain is to be raised on the 7th International Festival of Documentary Film.

THURSDAY, 17 March
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session.
LJUBLJANA - State Secretary for European Affairs Marcel Koprol is to receive the head of the Turkish parliamentary EU harmonisation committee Yasar Yakis.
LJUBLJANA - The winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year award will be announced.

FRIDAY, 18 March
LJUBLJANA - The collegiate body of the parliamentary speaker is to meet to debate the agenda of next week's session of parliament.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - EU defence ministers, among them Slovenia's Karl Erjavec, are to begin a two-day informal meeting.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary intelligence oversight committee is to hold a closed-doors session to discuss the report on the activities of the Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency in 2004.
VELENJE - Home appliance group Gorenje is to host a meeting of EU ambassadors to Slovenia with Slovenian Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak.
LJUBLJANA - A debate on inter-network connections, the leasing of broadband capacity and the leasing of optical cables is to be staged by the Directorate General for Electronic Communications and the Agency for Post and Electronic Communications.

SATURDAY, 19 March
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Representatives of the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia are to take part in a European labour demonstration.

SUNDAY, 20 March
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU finance ministers, including Slovenia's Andrej Bajuk, are to hold an extraordinary session aimed at finding agreement on the reform of the Stability and Growth Pact.
VILNIUS, Lithuania - NATO foreign ministers are set to gather for a two-day informal meeting.
