Joint Session of Slovenian, Croatian Govt Planned for April
The Slovenian and Croatian governments will hold a joint session in late April or early May, according to Croatian daily Novi list, which had the information confirmed by the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
The joint government session was announced when Slovenian and Croatian prime ministers, Janez Jansa and Ivo Sanader, held their first meeting on 21 January.
According to Saturday's Novi list, preparations have already begun. One result of the session, says the paper, would be an agreement on the avoidance of border incidents.
"Croatia and Slovenia will do everything to draft the agreement on avoiding incidents in the shortest possible time so that mutually undesired situations seen in the past would not repeat with the onset...of the tourist season," Hido Biscevic, a state secretary at the Croatian Foreign Ministry, told the paper after Friday's meeting with his counterpart Bozo Cerar.
