Portoro¾, 12 March

The advertising agency Futura DBB has won the award for best agency at the 15th festival of Slovenian advertising, the SOF. This is the second year in a row that the agency has been conferred the prestigious title, beating Pristop, Mayer McCann, Agencija Imelda Ogilvy and LunaTBWA.

Futura also won the prize for best printed ad for a series of posters advertising Kratochvill, small brewery, and the top prize in the section radio ads for its campaign advertising the restaurant Grill Monroe.
Yet it was beaten in the TV ads section by Agencija 41 and its advertisement for UMTS third-generation mobile telephony, commissioned by wireless operator Mobitel. Mayer McCann won the award for best Internet ad for the bank Hypo Alpe-Adria.
The award for best advertiser (conferred on companies that commission ads) went to Proconi, a small company making plastic products. The jury said Proconi is not a company that achieves goals with large investments, but it has proved that "one can measure up with the best with vision, expertise and courage".
Lucka Peljhan, one of the co-organisers of the festival, was awarded for advertising person of the year for her contribution to the development of the SOF.
A total of 604 ads entered competition this year. The awards were conferred late on Friday.
