TUESDAY, 8 March
WASHINGTON, United States - FM and OSCE chairman-in-office Dimitrij Rupel is to conclude his visit to the US. He is to hold talks with several US congressmen and senators, and address the US Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to attend a session of the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council.
LJUBLJANA - The government Office for Local Self-Government and Regional Development is to present its programme for 2005.
BLED - The government Agency for Management is to organise an annual, two-day seminar on local self-administration.
PORTOROZ - The Slovenian Association of Farming Cooperatives is to hold a two-day round table, to be attended by Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic.
LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to organise a public debate on the technology sector in Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The government Office for Equal Opportunities is to hold a news conference on the occasion of the International Women's Day.

WEDNESDAY, 9 March
PORTOROZ - The 14th Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF) is to begin, to run until 11 March.
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana-based Peace Institute is to hold a public debate to asses the first 100 days of the new government in office.

THURSDAY, 10 March
LJUBLJANA - An Austrian parliamentary delegation, headed by Speaker Andreas Khol, is to begin a two-day visit to Slovenia, to meet Speaker of Parliament France Cukjati and heads of deputy groups.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning Janez Podobnik is to attend a meeting of the EU environmental council.
MADRID, Spain - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to attend an international forum on democracy, security and terrorism, hosted by the Spanish King Juan Carlos.
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session.
LJUBLJANA - The national Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) and the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences are to organise a round table on globalisation challenges faced by small countries.
MARIBOR - A two-day conference on entrepreneurship and innovation, dubbed PODIM, is to begin, to be attended by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Environmental Agency is to organise a two-day meeting of directors of European environmental agencies.
KIEV, Ukraine - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to pay a two-day visit to Ukraine, to attend the Council of Europe's ministerial conference on media policy.
LJUBLJANA - Organisers of the 7th Ljubljana International Festival of Documentary Film (from 16 to 23 March) are to hold a news conference.

FRIDAY, 11 March
LJUBLJANA - The Austrian parliamentary delegation, headed by Speaker Andreas Khol, is to be received by President Janez Drnovsek and Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
MARIBOR - Austrian bank Kaernter Sparkasse is to present to the press its new branch to be opened in Maribor.
NOVO MESTO - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to open an annual agriculture fair in Novo mesto, to run until 13 March.

SATURDAY, 12 March
LJUBLJANA - The opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) are to celebrate their 11th anniversary.

SUNDAY, 13 March
VIENNA, Austria - The first round of a new conference of consensus on bilingual signposts in the province of Carinthia, organised by Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, is to be launched.
