Vitranc Cup with a Rich Accompanying Programme

Ljubljana, 14 February

Kranjska Gora will once again be the venue of the Vitranc Cup event in the last week of February. While the slopes are being carefully prepared along with the infrastructure for the World Cup slalom and giant slalom, the organisers are set to bring the biggest Slovenian pop stars, Magnifico and Siddharta, to perform at the scene.

Srecko Medven, the secretary general of the organising committee, told the press Monday that the slope is ready and that the organisers are currently focusing on preparing the remaining infrastructure.
Much more was said about the accompanying programme, which is to feature as main attractions Magnifico with his accompanying band Turbolenza, and Siddharta, the only Slovenian band to ever fill the Ljubljana stadium.
In addition, performances will be staged by Cuki, Romana Kranjcan and Bostjan Konecnik. The group Pro dance will organise workshops and snowboarders will stage an act dubbed "Freestyle landing 2005". The whole event is promoted under the title "X-plosion of Fun".
There will also be a game of hockey played by Austrian KAC and Slovenian Jesenice, using brooms instead of hockey sticks. Additionally, the winner of the free tombola will get a one-week trip to Los Angeles for two persons. All the accompanying events will be free of charge.
