Dance company Plesni Teater Ljubljana, which is considered to be the pioneer of Slovenian contemporary dance and has trained the country's most acclaimed dancers and choreographers, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
The company was set up twenty years ago by Damir Zlatar Frey, Sinja Ozbolt and now-deceased Ksenija Hribar, who was also a founder member of the London Contemporary Dance Theatre.
Currently headed by Ziva Brecelj, this independent, Ljubljana-based dance company says it remains committed to educating young talents and enabling them to mount their first productions.
Plesni Teater marked the jubilee on Saturday with a dance show entitled "Twenty Years of PTL", choreographed by Matjaz Berger and Marko Mlacnik. It plans to stage five more productions this year.
