Incoming Prime Minister Janez Jansa, the leader of the Slovenian Democrats (SDS), presented his 16 ministerial nominees to the public on Tuesday.
Dimitrij Rupel (SDS) - minister of foreign affairs; foreign minister twice before
Dragutin Mate (SDS) - minister of interior affairs
Andrej Bajuk (NSi) - minister of finance; a finance expert and NSi leader
Karl Erjavec (DeSUS) - minister of defence; currently Justice Ministry state secretary
Lovro Sturm (NSi)- minister of justice; former Constitutional Court judge
Janez Drobnic (NSi) - minister of labour, family and social affairs; NSi vice-president
Andrej Vizjak (SDS) - minister of economics; MP and mayor of Brezice
Marija Lukacic (SDS) - minister of agriculture, food and forestry; currently state undersecretary at the ministry of agriculture
Vasko Simoniti (SDS) - minister of culture; a doctor of history, lecturer at the Faculty of Arts
Milan Zver (SDS) - minister of education and sport; lecturer of sociology at the University of Maribor
Jurij Zupan (NSi) - minister of higher education, science and technology
Andrej Brucan (SDS) - minister of health; a medical doctor, was health minister in the Andrej Bajuk government in 2000
Gregor Virant (SDS) - minister of public administration; has been state secretary for public administration since 2000
Janez Podobnik (SLS) - minister of the environment and spatial planning; SLS leader
Janez Bozic (SLS) - minister of transport; chair of the management board of DARS, Slovenia's motorway company
Darinka Mravljak (SLS) - minister without portfolio forlocal self-government and regional development; agronomist and a former MP
