Unemployment at 6.1%; Deflation in August

The unemployment rate based on the ILO and Eurostat international standards for the second quarter reached 6.1%.

The Statistical Office published its data on the unemployment survey in Slovenia, which is based on the ILO and Eurostat international standards. The unemployment rate for the second quarter reached 6.1%. Of the total population of 1,007,000 there are 946,000 people in active employment. The average unemployment rate is 5.7% for men and 6.4% for women. Compared to July figures, the inflation rate fell by 0.5%; compared to last December, the inflation rate is at 2.7% and against the same month last year, it is at 3.7%.
