Summit of the Prime Ministers of CEFTA Countries
Brdo pri Kranju, Slovenia, 6-7 November 2003
Republic of Slovenia is due to host the Summit of the Prime Ministers of Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) countries at Brdo pri Kranju on November 6-7 2003.
Slovenia currently holds the one-year presidency of the association at the time of its 10th anniversary.
Prime Ministers of the 8 member countries - Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia - will mostly discuss the ways and means of future trade relations between the countries since 5 partners will enter the European Union in May 2004, and will sign the Joint Declaration.
Accreditation
Journalists, photo-reporters, TV cameramen, technicians and other representatives of the media who wish to cover the Summit will have to have an accreditation identity card. We would therefore ask all who intend to cover the summit to complete the attached accreditation form and send it to the Government Public Relations and Media Office latest by Friday, 24 October 2003.

Press Centre
Government PR and Media Office is organising a press centre in the premises of Hotel Kokra at Brdo pri Kranju. The centre will be open on Thursday, 6 November from 15:00 to 20:30 and on Friday, 7 November from 8:00 to 19:00.
Centre will be equipped with:
- 80 workstations (40 PCs and 40 standard modem RJ11or RJ12 analogue plug for modem connection)
- 80 ISDN telephones
- fax machines
- 3 ENG editing rooms and satellite up-link facilities (bookings: EBU and TV Slovenia)
Hotel bar and restaurant, including smoking area, are located in the ground floor as well.
Information on transport
Government PR and Media Office will organise a bus-shuttle service for accredited journalists between Ljubljana and Brdo pri Kranju on Thursday, 6 November and Friday, 7 November - detailed schedules to be confirmed later. If needed due to travel arrangements, transport from Brdo pri Kranju to Brnik Airport will be organised on Friday, 7 November as well.
Accommodation
Media representatives are advised to book their hotels well in advance. Government PR and Media Office can guarantee a discount price at one of the Ljubljana hotels for accredited journalists (subject to availability).
All hotel bills are journalists' expenses.
