PM Janez Jansa is to pay an introductory visit to Brussels. He is scheduled to meet President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, Slovenian Commissioner Janez Potocnik, High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana and NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. At the National Assembly, Dr Dimitrij Rupel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia addressed parliamentarians from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The parliamentarians are participating in the 3rd Plenary Assembly of the South Caucasus Parliamentary Initiative held from 18 to 20 January 2005 in Ljubljana.

Rupel to Outline OSCE Priorities for 2005
Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel will outline the priorities of Slovenia's stint at the helm of the OSCE in 2005 before the Permanent Council of Europe's top security organisation. On the second day of his visit to Vienna, the Slovenian Foreign Minister will take part in the Ministerial Troika and later also address members of the Foreign Press Association at the Presseclub Concordia.

Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is expected to deliver an address on Tuesday, as will Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
