Prime Minister Anton Rop and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel are to take part at the EU summit
The EU summit is to continue, with EU reform and intergovernmental conference on the agenda. On Saturday the European leaders will meet with counterparts from five Western Balkan states. The summit is attended by Slovenian PM Anton Rop and FM Dimitrij Rupel as observers.

Prime Minister and Foreign Minister in Germany Today
Prime Minister Anton Rop is paying a working visit to Germany. The prime minister is to meet German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and head of the opposition Christian-Democratic Union Angela Merkel. He is to be accompanied by by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel who will hold a separate meeting with German FM Joschka Fischer. A business delegation is also to come along, headed by chair of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce (GZS) Jozko Cuk. A business conference is to be held, attended by PM Rop, Economics Minister Tea Petrin and the GZS chair.

President Janez Drnovsek is to start a two-day official visit to Bulgaria
Accompanied by Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, he is expected to discuss with his host, Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, bilateral relations, the two countries' EU and NATO integration and the situation in SE Europe.

Slovenia to Promote Itself at Venice Biennial
On the sidelines of the 50th Venice arts biennial a day before the official opening of the festival, a Slovenian pavillion will be opened at the Galery A+A. Artist Ziga Kariz will exhibit his project "Terror-Decor: Art Now". The opening at 8 PM is to be attended by Culture Minister Andreja Rihter.
