31 May 2003 — St. Petersburg PM Rop to attend EU-Russian Summit in St. Petersburg Prime Minister Anton Rop, accompanied by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, is to attend the EU-Russia summit in St. Petersburg on Saturday. The summit of the Russian leadership, headed by President Vladimir Putin, and heads of states of EU countries will be attended for the first time by heads of states from the ten EU acceding countries as observers. Also visiting St. Petersburg will be Slovenian President Janez Drnovsek, who will attend a ceremony marking the 300th anniversary of the establishment of the city at the mouth of the Neva river.

13 May 2003 — Bari PM and FM to Assume Slovenia's Presidency over Adriatic-Ionian Initiative in Bari Prime Minister Anton Rop and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel are to attend the summit of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative in Italy's southern city of Bari.
