Slovenia is to attend as an observer the sessions of both COREPERs, committees of permanent representatives of the EU member states in Brussels
The country will be represented by Ambassador in the EU Ciril Stokelj and his deputy Marjeta Jager. The sessions of COREPERs I and II will be attended by the future EU members for the first time ever.

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Franci But is to attend a two-day ministerial conference on the protection of forests in Europe, in Vienna. The fourth such conference will be attended by representatives of 35 countries who are expected to sign several documents on forest protection.

Danish Defence Minister in Slovenia
Danish Defence Minister Svend Aage Jensby is to arrive on a two-day visit to Slovenia upon the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Anton Grizold. The Danish defence minister will also meet FM Dimitrij Rupel and heads of the parliamentary committees for defence and foreign policy, Rudolf Petan and Jelko Kacin.

The Slovene delegation also includes the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, the President of the National Assembly, Borut Pahor, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Dimitrij Rupel, and the Minister of European Affairs, Dr Janez Potočnik.
