OI Rio 2016

At the Summer Olympics, held from 5 to 21 August in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Slovenia will have an active role both in sports and in other venues. In cooperation with the Handball Federation of Slovenia, the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Brazil, the Slovenian Tourist Board, the SPIRIT Slovenia Public Agency, the Government Communication Office, and also with the support of Ljubljana Tourism, the Slovenian Olympic Committee has launched the Slovenian Centre project. The purpose of organising and setting up the Slovenian Centre is to effectively promote our country.

Photographic exhibition »I Feel Slovenia. I Feel 25«

Six European cities will be hosting an exhibition entitled »I Feel Slovenia. I Feel 25.«, marking the 25th anniversary of Slovenia's independence. After Berlin, the exhibition will go on a tour around Europe, stopping in Vienna, Geneva, Helsinki, Tallinn, and Riga.

GreenLight WorldFlight Mission 2016

Matevž Lenarčič, extreme pilot, biologist, photographer, nature conservationist, mountain climber and director of the Aerovizija company, is on another mission to fly around the world. The goals of this mission are set very high, since they combine scientific research and environmental activities. This time, Lenarčič will be flying in an ultralight aircraft, Dynamic WT9. In total, he will spend almost 200 hours in the sky. On his 42,000-kilometre long journey, Lenarčič will make thirteen stops.
